In the Garage

First of all, sorry for the delay in getting you the update this month, but the ‘man’ called me up for my Jury service, and I’ve been busy serving justice!

So it's February now and it's business as usual in the workshop, well, as usual as it can be at Burnham Autos. Unfortunately this month I got down the ‘shop too late to see a cameramen down there doing some research for a possible new programme based down at Burnham Autos - so keep your eyes peeled for Burnham Autos on a TV near you... Paul also wanted to say something this month; that summer's coming quicker than you think, so make sure your cars are ready!

Robbie’s No.13 is in for a new exhaust and rear dampers as well as a few running repairs. Looks like Paul ain’t the only one who drives hard...

These 500ci of Cadillac breathed a lot better once we had a go at the exhaust. This one will be visiting the paint shop now that it’s finished in our workshop. Paul has decided it will look better in two tone gold with no side trim, and the customer seems to agree...

Shane’s Bentley used to be a four-door car and has been modified into a panel van (but not by us), and is in for finishing off. This will include getting the suspension working properly, sorting the exterior trim and anything necessery for the MOT.

Rumour has it that the owner will have it sign written with ‘Trotters Independent Trading’ down the side... If that’s the case we decided it will be in gold leaf ‘cause it’s a Bentley!

Laurence Whitely has now got back his ’68 Camaro complete with 577hp Big Block Chevy. We’ve also fabricated a new exhaust system, rebuilt the front suspension and fitted chassis rail connectors to stiffen everything up ready for the new horsepower gain. Having driven this car (but not in anger), I suggest that anybody should think twice before taking him on, because it is extremely powerful and it literally pins you to the back of the seat. Hey Laurence, Paul says he wants a drive when it’s running...
