In
the Garage
Russ’s Mk2 Cortina is in for a new exhaust
system to be fitted. A 16V 2ltr Red Top engine propels the vehicle, with a mix of Escort and
Capri parts taking care of the steering and stopping. Wheels are 4 spoke magnesium American
Racing, and Russ would like to give a big thanks to Andy for the flame job. Here’s Russ
demonstrating his heavy foot!

Recently bought by Becky Wood is this ’59
Ford Ranchero and is in for a spruce up after 20 years standing. Becky wanted an automatic
gearbox instead of the manual, so a 1971 Cougar has donated its gearbox.
Fortunately there was a V8 stuck in the front of it, so the old six pot and manual gearbox
(with overdrive) are now up for grabs, and open to offers...

This 1937 Rolls Royce has come in for some
major re-engineering after having a badly/dangerously fitted steering gear and power brake
conversion. Good news is however, we have the capabilities to put this car right, and it
also has a Chevy V8 engine and gearbox in place which looks like a brand new unit. Wonder
if it will burn out!

Barris Custom “Sand Draggin’” has just had
a new interior and will be going back to collector Gary Hillman in the near future. Check
out his site at: www.mydadstoys.co.uk.
