Long Term Projects
The Fordson van has just passed its MOT and is
due to leave the workshop anytime now having just covered approximately 30 miles of road
testing. The car is running as sweet as a nut and should be a whole lot of fun for the owner.
If you see this thing on the roads, don't panic when there's no driver, he is in there, just sat
well back!

Steve Porter's '32 is coming along strong. Dave
Mackley is responsible for the now extremely neat and well concealed wiring. You can see him here
getting stuck in - how he can make sense of that is beyond me! Dave's been wiring our cars for
years. We have also added a few Burnham Autos touches which include self cancelling indicators
with a timer and a relay, and a delayed dimming interior light for when you drop your keys late
at night...

A relief was necessary for Pauls new 6 speed
transmission in the transmission tunnel. Its turns out however that the tunnel and floor aren't
all that, and have previously been replaced, but will now be replaced again as the repairs
wern't up to our standard... Note: don't worry about the gear lever hitting the seat, its turned
out to be alright as there is just enough space to shift without hitting the original bench
seat...

Work is progressing on the Willys, we're working
on the front end at the moment which will include mounting the one piece front, whilst designing
and fabricating radiator supports from the chassis. We're having some real fun (not!) trying to
line up the fibre glass panels. As you can see in the photo support tubes have also been added
running from the roll cage to the front of the chassis which will strengthen the front of the
chassis and give us somewhere to mount the wings to.
