In the Garage

Its November again and that time of year where we all get to mess around with fire just like we used to when we were kids, and it’s never been more true than at my first Burnham Autos annual bonfire party...

Paul had a big old BBQ on the go, making sure everyone got fed... then as the BBQ cooled there were tubs and tubs of home cooked cakes to get stuck into courtesy of Ian's wife Janet, plus some amazing donuts thanks to Jerry. As people finished eating, the beers got sank a little quicker and the fire grew with nothing being left unburnt!

So thanks goes to Paul and the guys at Burnham Autos as well as all their friends who managed to get themselves down there for a cold Autumn night with good food and a big old fire.

Now for the cars...

Stu Donnelly's 50's Pontiac Sedanette has now come in for some major rear suspension work having been measured up a couple of months ago. Work will include a triangulated 4 bar, air bag suspension and a new prop shaft tunnel.

This '52 Dodge pickup is in for some major front suspension mods, with most of the work having now been done. It came into the workshop with straight 6 flathead power, manual gearbox, beam axle, drum front brakes and no power anything... It will leave the workshop with independent front suspension, power steering, disc brakes and 460 cubic inches of Ford power. The customer has just had the first test drive and came back with a huge smile on her face - do not race girls with 460 ci power trucks!
