Long Term Projects

The Fordson van is having the wiring done after fabricating a new overhead console for the various switches. This will keep the interior looking real smooth and clean - it's all the details that take the time, you see! As well as the fabrication of the interior console the rear lights have now also been fitted.

(We didn’t have Gavin’s number last month, who was responsible for polishing the master cylinders, so here it is - if you need any polishing doing, we highly recommend him: 01634 251 747).

Mike's Willys has been waiting for us to make a start on it after having missed its due date earlier in the year. The first part of our work is fitting the locking bear claw latches, nicer door hinges, and electric windows...

My (i.e. Tom, who writes this wonderful monthly update) Zephyr was back in as the clutch pedal was starting to go soft. They’ve now been resealed until we can get new cylinders. (Thanks to Kev at Zodiac Spares for supplying the seal kits: 01322 439 666)

You saw these lights being trial fitted in July and now the US Automotives panel van will be wearing them after much remodelling of the wings. These lights were sourced by US Automotives themselves, so if you need parts... www.usautomotive.co.uk.

Dan Burnham has finally become useful since becoming an electrician and is now rewiring the workshop. Lets hope his wiring is tidier than his bedroom!
