Long Term Projects

Rumour has it John was recently at a show in Ireland and was asking everybody there what colour would best suit his truck... This week it's lime green.

The chop is moving on nicely and you saw the front mock-up in a previous update, here it is with the metal work now well under way. To add to the list this month John wants suicide doors with hidden hinges, and a column shifter, and cup holders, etc etc etc... We hope to finish this one day... has anybody got a set of reigns for Mr Hennesy?!

Dan Burnham has been AWOL for most of the summer living the life, but he is now on the home stretch with the pickup and by the time you read this the engine bay should be in black paint. The plan is for the engine and bay to be immaculate with a polished blower and the exterior left as is. Dan will be flying the Burnham Autos flag with this etched stainless motive badge... Paul says, "That's my boy!"

Here are the new brakes on the US Automotive van. They are distributors for Baer brakes so it seems silly not to have the biggest ones they do!

While the Buick's off the road waiting for an engine, Paul decided to tackle the rust (despair!). It's so bad in fact it seems silly not to channel it! Even though it meant moving the rear tubs up an inch and a half. Paul would also like to thank Pete Angel for finding him a cheap blower manifold...

On a personal note, Paul has inspected my car and it seems the No. 4 exhaust valve guide is badly worn, so it will soon be wearing a reconditioned cylinder head, and maybe a bit higher compression 'cause Paul can't leave anything alone, saying "evidently power is economy... and you can't have enough economy"... yeah right!
