In
the Garage
This ‘71 Firebird is in for a 5 speed
gearbox conversion that was bought from Keisler Engineering Inc, and is also running a
bullet proof Lakewood bell housing. The new gear box should liven it up a bit..!
The carpet and headliner were a bit tatty, so whilst in the shop these have also been
replaced, and the car is now looking as good inside as it is outside.

Gerrys Zephyr has just eaten the
radiator due to a fully floating engine and gearbox unit! Under heavy breaking the engine
moved forward far enough to put the cooling fan in the back of the radiator, wrecking it
completely. It now has a rose jointed linkage to stop the engine from doing it again.
With the new radiator fitted it should also run a lot cooler as a cup of mud was found
in the old one!

Regular customer Ray just can’t leave the
coupe alone and has now asked for a sun visor to be fitted, he wanted it to have loads of
character and to give the car more attitude... as if it hasn't got enough already!
